Mona is a certified yoga therapist who has been practicing mindfulness meditation for more than a decade. The practice of meditation and yoga for years helped her to use the mind faculties properly, thereby bringing the mind to a discriminative and attentive state increasing awareness of the present moment. 

 

About Mindfulness Meditation:

Meditation is about cultivating awareness, and non-judgment. Sometimes the mind loses its stability and clarity. Mindfulness practice offers a different way of dealing with stress, by calming the mind and body. 

You just sit still, and don’t dwell on the thoughts that drift through your head. During meditation your breath slows down, heart rate slows, blood pressure decreases, stress decreases, and tension in the body decreases. 

 

Mindfulness is simply observing and accepting thoughts as they occur without judgment.
